Ato Vari returns 18 months following the project's debut, Brevis, on Denmark's Posh Isolation label with Louise, a 40-minute opus of drone, minimal and abstract ambient music.

Side A opens with an ode to the lady from which this album takes its name; "an old lady in my family who used to tell [me and my brothers] stories and sing to us when we were growing up. She even recorded some of them on cassette to take home and listen back on our tape recorder. She was a devoted Christian, and her tales bore the distinct pious morale of her faith. There was nothing strict or moralising about her, though. In fact she always struck me with her sweet, tender and modest way of being. I got to visit her at the retirement home where she spent her final years, shortly before she passed on. She was then 100 years of age. I hung on to the cassette since 1983"

These tape recordings are used as source material on side A. Side B is distinct in its use of an old church organ to create a drone texture that follows the track from start to finish.
